Thompson knew were he stood. In 2003's "Kingdom of Fear," he wrote: "We

we'll kill you.

I find it interesting that all these tributes to Hunter Thompson are
to a man who, in retrospect, was probably one of the most degenerate
public figures in modern American history.

Not to mention that he would probably just as soon shoot you as look
at you.

Hey, if they can spend a couple of weeks talking about Regean being
the greatest president since Lincoln, no reason not to liken Thompson
to Ghandi.

An original thinker who saw things in situations that others didn't,
even when he wasn't on drugs.

Like calling Bush a "Butt boy" for the rich?

#1 now that's origional thinking

#2 Yeah...the "rich" I wonder how much his Colorado estate is worth?

Bush is a "butt boy" for the rich. Just because you hold that against
HT, doesn't make it untrue or, as you said, a piece of original
thinking. ..

I wonder if Ted Kennedy is included in the rich list?

Sounds like you feel about Hunter Thompson the same way I feel about
Pat
Robertson.

You a big 700 Club fan?

Hunter Thompson? What socially redeeming action has he ever performed?
