Calif Bill" wrote in message link.net... Yeah. 65 million people. You better get a reality check also. Let me confirm this: You're saying there are 65 million people who believe this rapture bull****, and that's OK with you? As I said 65 million people? You better get a reality check also. You're a slippery devil. It's not worth my time to even guess at the actual number, or read backward. The issue is THE BELIEF these people hold, and that they are willing to manipulate politics to support that belief. Basing your voting on belief in a war or bad grammar is one thing. Basing it on religion puts you in the category of "get measured for a straightjacket". The fact that you believe that 65 million believe this is what's scary! The numbers don't matter. You know that. If they have the president's ear, it's a problem. We already meddle too much in the Middle East because of natural resources and egotistical reasons. Adding a wacko religion to our motives is simply not acceptable. |

I have not heard anybody say that Bush isn't their President... is this

Seems to me you've been confirming the hell out of that number!!!! Now, if you *believe* that Bush is being influenced by these folks in such a way that he will soon start lobbing nukes around the world so he can enjoy a 'rapture', then I think you should invest in a bomb shelter, get in it, and stay off your computer. Does your comment somehow negate the fact that there are millions of loonies walking around who actually believe this rapture nonsense, and are willing to manipulate politics here and overseas to fit their hallucinations? Does your comment somehow negate the fact that there are millions of loonies walking around who actually believe the President Bush is not the President, as they did not vote for him? That there are millions of loonies walking around who actually believe the Sen. Kerry would be competant? That has nothing to do with the original subject of this thread. Just as pertinent to anything, however! Go get more coffee, John. Pertinent to anything? Anything??? Yeah, anything. John H On the 'PocoLoco' out of Deale, MD, on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay! But, when a politician steps over a certain line, I disown them. If I was in the military, GWB came to my base for a photo op, and my CO said "We need you to shake hands with him for the cameras", I'd choose latrine duty or prison if that was the penalty for refusing to obey the order. |

Maybe so, but that doesn't change the facts on the ground. It didn't change anything for the Clinton-haters. Just think, if the National & American Leagues hadn't been so squeamish about letting a Jesus-babbling ex-drunk be Commissioner of Baseball, we wouldn't have to suffer GWB as President of the whole country. Of course... he apparently believes it too, despite his claims of being a "moderate Democrat." DSK I am a moderate democrat and voted Libertarian in the last election. Could not stand Kerry. As to my religion, do not believe in the Rapture and just believe there is something up there. Look at the world and Universe and tell me where it came from. |
