If you want to see conservatives exchanging ideas, go to a NASCAR race. I'll bet you find more millionaires attending NASCAR races than liberal or progressive speeches. Isn't that wonderful. Who gives a crap about millionaires? You? Not me. You care more about millionaires than anyone else on the group. You tout your 36' Zimmerman like Lobsta' boat, the houses you are building in So. MD. Also, you need the rich in order to have someone to hate. |

This is why the left can't win an election! Chris There's some specious reasoning for you. Sorry Gary.... But I forgot to add Krause's condescending remark about liberals on college campus's and conservatives being at Nascar when I posted. So with that now being explained to you about the elitist attitudes of the left, I again say.... This is why the left can't win elections! |

No surprise there, the headline might just as well have read- "The Smartest People in America are Liberals" If they were smart, they'd be in the real world working for a living. I believe that most choose to teach at the university level to appease a feeling of intellectual insecurity. \ Giggle. That's our NOYB!!! Tries and tries to make everyone here think he is superior, then slams teachers, saying they are trying the very same thing!! |

NOYB wrote: College Faculties A Most Liberal Lot, Study Finds By Howard Kurtz Washington Post Staff Writer Tuesday, March 29, 2005; Page C01 College faculties, long assumed to be a liberal bastion, lean further to the left than even the most conspiratorial conservatives might have imagined, a new study says. Most likely because the "conservatives," most of whom might be more accurately termed "fascists," are less and less satisfied with the real world and have imagined a right-leaning world where anti-abortion terrorists can get appointed to federal judgeships and the U.S. military can be assigned a long term mission of pointless destruction & slaughter for profit, while everybody stands around & cheers. This is why the federal gov't has to release it's own fake news. This is why the highest office holders in the land make speeches about the "fair & balanced" viewpoint of the most right-leaning news channel. All looks yellow to a jaundiced eye. DSK You read like you have been punched in the eye alot. Is this because of your abrasive personality. You jump to conclusions, assume motives that arn't there etc. What happened to you to make you this hostile? IF you READ the article the colleges that have a better balanced facility, that teach both liberal arts and Science have a mix that is more like what we see in the general population 50-50. My personal opinion is that the liberal arts side takes things generally on faith, or the way they would like things to be and the science side questions and takes nothing on faith. This usually means that the science side of the campus is more conservative. It doesn't mean that they are Republican. I've had this discussion with Harry, he seems to have the same viewpoints but is slightly less hostile. IF you understand that the right and the left have the same endgame, that the methods used to achieve these ends is the difference between the two then you begin to understand. Politics is the art of compromise, it's also the art of polarization. That's what you have fallen victim to, you have been made to feel that there are two sides, a right one and a wrong one. It's not that simple. Those on the right are not all evil as those on the left are not all unthinking. The extremes on both sides are reactionary and unthinking, victims of politics. |
