Default Sterndrive Engineering Launches New Web Site

Press Release
March 5, 2004

Sterndrive Engineering launched it's new web site today at
www.Sterndrive.cc. Bryan Glynn, Sterndrive Engineering's IT Manager, said
"our new site brings together both audio and video media for an interesting
viewing experience". The site contains an interactive forums section, as
well as technical guides on subjects such as installing an Alpha One
sterndrive.

Sterndrive Engineering is a Clearwater, Florida company that is offering
complete new Alpha One replacement sterndrives for $1,195 retail price. The
drives are entirely new, not rebuilt or remanufactured. Dealer pricing is
also available. Call (727) 461-0811 for more information. Sterndrive
Engineering is not affiliated with the OE. Alpha One is a trademark of the
Brunswick Corporation.

It's impressive, but I think I liked it better the way it was. I'd rather
see my $1200 go into aluminum and stainless steel than slick graphics and
flashy animation. I'd rather think that my drive was put together by some
curmudgeon in greasy coveralls than a pack of Abercrombie and Fitch models,
if you know what I mean.

Aw come on, Joe, get with the times! If I had looked at
http://www.fourwinns.com/ for my new boat but it looked like
http://davidfiedler.com/boating.htm instead, I certainly wouldn't have
though them a professional company. Good companies should have good
websites, there's nothing wrong with that. I liked it! Hopefully I won't
need one of their products anytime soon though! (knock on fiberglass)

Would I be riding around in a 27 year old boat if I wanted to "get with the
times?" Seriously, SEI's original site looked professional, neither
amateurish nor excessively flashy. The new one looks a little like the promo
site for a movie or video game or something. I think all that flash might
put off someone who's just looking for a good deal on a drive. Bear in mind,
of course, that my marketing skills are one of the reasons that I have the
aforementioned boat instead of a shiny new Four Winns ...
