Default Fuel Filter

Hello there, here is the story, we are all standing around in my garage,
looking for the fuel filter on a 2004 Larson with Volvo Penta 3.0 engine
that is not fuel injected....Before they take my boat apart, is there
one? Where is it?.......Thanks, Mike

Should have a filter that looks like an oil filter. It is a water
seperating filter. Trace the fuel line from the carb back down and it
should be located to the front of the engine.

Don't know if there is one in the carb itself or not.

Great choise on boats!I have the SEI186 3.0 Volvo. The fuel filter is in the
carburetor. where the fuel line goes in the carb. remove the line and the
filter will pop out. Very small thing and very cheap part so keep extras in
your emerg. kit. Line wrenches works best so not to round off the nuts.

Well now that he found his, I have a similar issue with my Mercruiser
3.0 (GM). It is a 1995. In the manual they talk about the water
separating filter and show an oil filter type thing "if so equiped". I
can see nothing like that. Might my filter also be in the carb as
described above?

If you find it, you may want to remove it. I find they clog up, and
wont let the motor run. I take them off all my boats.
