The question is: Are you saved? Naw, I'm invested. (Too obscure a joke?) Not at all. For several years I had both a button and a .sig line that said: "Jesus saves. How 'bout not cross-posting to the jazz guitar group if you guys want to
keep yapping about this ****? Please? "Capt. Neal®" wrote: "scottsummers" wrote in message ups.com... Jesus also admonished to judge not lest you be judged. -yep, but he didnt say "do not complain to someone who posts at your newsgroup but doesnt talk there, lest ye be reposted the same thing 500000000000 times until you die" "For in the same way you (post to) others, you will be (posted to), and with the measure you (post), it will be (posted) to you. " "Jesus also taught that Christians have an obligation to tell the Good News. It is a duty; not an option. " -Mathew 10:14 Whoever will not receive you or listen to your words--go outside that house or town and shake the dust from your feet. If Jesus's disciples teaching was rejected he just told them to shake the dust off their feet and they just went on to those who would listen. You arent very knowledgeable of the Bible for being what,..... a pastor? That is great you desire to share the gospel with people. You have given them plenty of "chances" for making up their mind and sending the same email again wont do anything. Go dust off your email and post somewhere else. Matter of fact why dont you share the gospel with someone in person? Anyone can do it over the internet. That is a pretty secure and non sacrificial thing to do which really just makes you look self righteous. You are correct in that there is a point where even Jesus advised to waste no more time on certain unbelievers. However that assumes that such unbelievers are identified as such. So there are some unbelievers on a newsgroup who raise holy hell at the thought of somebody posting religious material, it does not follow that one continues to tell the good news to these sorry few. There are many more who lurk or who consider without comment the Good News and these people can still be reached and brought to salvation. Jesus admonished the devil to get behind him. Those who rail and complain about a post they can just ignore are the Devil's conscripts. CN -- Joey Goldstein http://www.joeygoldstein.com joegold AT sympatico DOT ca |
