Ignore the fact that the strap needs to be replaced in the first
instance, but I was just hoping for an idea. I broke a winch strap
over the weekend and needed to use it in order to transport a cabinet.
I was trying to remember which knot would be appropriate for that
type of material, and realized a bend would be appropriate but I
couldn't recall the specific type. I ended up tying a sort of
angler's knot but was hoping for something more elegant. There's
nothing more irritating than when people are looking to you for a
slick solution and all you can remember is something hackneyed.
