I have a 1995 Merc Bravo III that will not trim all the way down. The
reason is that there are two metal "blocks" over the rear pin (at the bottom of the bell housing), and one of them has rotated out of position (apparently due to wear). I assume that when the drive is full down, it is supposed to rest against these blocks, transferring the force directly to the boat and not on the trim cylinders. The problem is, I can't find these blocks in the exploded parts diagrams anywhere. Does anyone know what these are called? Thanks, Doug. Rochester, NY. |
