Mostly Florida is what I'm looking for. I was hoping that there might be a
central federal site will links to the states. "Steve Daniels, Seek of Spam" wrote in message ... On Tue, 22 Jun 2004 16:59:09 GMT, something compelled "Fred" , to say: Anyone know of a way to learn the owner of a boat online using the hull registration number? Which state? |

Well, the only thing I could do at this point is to hit google.com, and obviously that's something you've already done. I doubt that I'd reach success where you have only found failure, so I guess that no, there is no central point where a registration could be cross referenced to an owner. Just on an outside chance... do you think any of these would be considered a good reason? - Wonder how much he paid for it. - Wonder if I can borrow it. - Hey, I'd like to get that babe's phone number. |

I'm interested in this as well for a more nostalgic reason. I'd like to find out if any of my father's old boats are still around. Assuming that they haven't moved into another state, the registration number should still be the same. There is nothing that I've been able to find on the internet. But you could try contacting the agency responsible for handling boat registrations and see if they can help. Dave |

If the vessel is federally registered in Canada you can use:
http://www.tc.gc.ca/ShipRegistry/menu.asp?lang=e I think the IMO has something similar (for all nationally registered ships in IMO member countries), but I lost the URL and haven't been able to track the page down again. --lyndon |
