I am looking for a new steering system.
Teleflex makes a hydraulic system for outboards with 150hp or less. http://www.seastarsteering.com/BAYSTAR/baystar.htm Does anyone have any experience with these that would share some good or bad comments? Is it better than the cable type? The ad says it will steer more easily but steering effort is not an issue. I am more interested in how long this will last compared to a cable system. What kind of problems do these systems typically have besides the inevitable leak? |
