On our pontoon motor when reversing we get kick back up with the 115
Johnson (1973 model). Seems the trim would not hold it down in reverse. After taking it out of the water yesterday and looking it over.. WALLAH! Only one tilt/trim cyl is live and hooked up. The other is just dead and no hydro line to it. We have a parts motor and it has two good live cylinders. I am going to pull off a line and good cylinder off the parts motor and put it on the boat. Doing this what do I need to check? I may need to add fluid yes? What about air in the system? How do I get that out or bleed it out? This is an OEM Johnson T/T setup. I am thinking if I push the new cylinder to the bottom position, then hook the line up and push it up before installing I can eliminate some air? Any advice appreciated. |
