Power lift retrofit for 48 HP Johnson?

I have a 15' boat with a 48 HP Johnson outboard, both about 15 years
old. Any recommendations as to anyone who makes a retrofit kit that
will allow me to get continuously adjustable tilt and trim?

Do you mean a powerlift or tilt/trim?

Power trim for anything above 30 horse is about impossible
in the OEM world. At least I don't know of any which doesn't
mean anything. There might be one that I don't know about.

You might want to look around for a used trim/tilt if that is what
you are after.

A word of advice - while some will tell you that Johnson/Evinrude
are the same during this period of time, the mounts are not. If
you find an Evinrude trim/tilt system, be sure to get the engine
hangers with it because they are cast differently than the Johnson -
in particular if the Johnson does not have a trim/tilt system on it
originally. The difference is in the hydraulic reservoir and the
trim/tilt system mounts.

Good luck.
