I just found this group while looking for a forum on boats, but
I won't be back here.

Why in the world are you guys posting all your non-boating political
opinions here? There are more appropriate news groups
for that.

You are probably driving a lot of boaters away from this
group. I doubt many would take the time to post to let
you know how inappropriate your postings are, as I am doing.

No, no. This complaint is heard all the time. Usually it solicits some harsh
rebuke from those who would say that 'your' post had little to do with boating.

But, I'm not that way. All I would suggest is that you post your boating related
question or problem here and see how many well-qualified responses you get.

What does your post have to do with boating? Just kidding, but after
PocoLoco's post I had to say it.

Anytime a boating question is posted the replies are on topic and
exceptional; for me the group has been 100% helpful!

Post your boating question and you'll get a great response.

The rest of the stuff is just entertainment between boating moments. Ignore
it or be amused by it; your choice.

I'd have to agree that John PocoLoco Herring is our finest example of a
pre-programmed, willing to drink down ALL the Koolaid, twit.

On the other hand, he does spend time teaching kids math. I hope
they're not completely turned off to education by the time he gets done
with them.

I do suspect he uses numbers to sneak his right wing agenda into the
classroom. God forbid you were to cite anything written in the Post or
NY Times in one of his classes.

I'm guessing he uses the Washington Times as his single source for real-
world math.

Doubtful. He's always casting asperions on the backgrounds of the kids
for whom he serves as a substitute. I suspect he just babysits them.

....or recruits for the military machine.

No... not at all. There has always been an undercurrent of off topic
posting and I guess a certain amount is to be expected.

Your observations are not incorrect, though I suspect that you'll soon
see those posters to filter out...... and the signal to noise ratio
will be quite acceptable....

He'll be able to do that in this thread alone!
