It happens here in the States also. Test vehicles from the Big 3 are
routinely crushed at metal recycling yards in Detroit and Toledo, with
absolutely nothing taken out other than the gas tank and engine fluids.
These cars look brand new and may include custom aluminum wheels and top end
electronics including stereo and gps. I would not have believed it if I did
not see it with my own eyes.


Something to do with emissions standards, engines, exhaust systems,
etc? A company test car not worth rebuilding to gov standards or
shipping back for replumbing, etc?
