Today's Laugh
"Harry Krause" wrote in message ... Got mail from the military today, asking me to rejoin the reserve. I should reply with the names and addresses of the right-wing warmongers here...they're the ones that should be re-upping. A while back I got a phone call asking to take a survey about the war. They asked some general questions then zoomed in on if I had any teenagers, when I said that I did, the line changed to "Would I talk to them about about the military", Yup recruiters. They then got real specific about "would you encourage your child to enlist?" When I replied that the only way I would encouage my kids, was IF GWB's twins enlisted FIRST !!!! They hung up on me......... |

Now that's scary. I heard on the news the other day that the U.S. Army is spending $50 millions + to acquire & maintain a database of 'recruitable' high school & college kids. If a draft is enacted, I hope they take Republican kids first. DSK |

Hey John H, I bet you save a lot of money, not needing toilet paper with this guy following you around. DSK Fritz, apparently, is too stupid to understand *why* thinking Americans are calling for a draft, with no exemptions except for serious disability. It has something to do with making sure the sons and daughters of the wealthy also are exposed to death the same as the sons and daughters of the poor. When you thousands of rich kids over in Iraq driving unarmored gasolines and dying as a result of roadside explosions, Bush's base will force him to end the war. When I was facing the draft for the VN war, one of the slogans of the day was: "The way to end this war is to draft the rich kids right along with everyone else, instead letting them get off with cushy Reserve duty" Yup GWB was one of those rich kids..... |

Jim's kinda sorta quieted down, so Fritz needs someone as annoying as he is, so he's taken up with John Herring. |

Ronald Reagan I *have* noticed that. Of course, if there were a draft, they'd be complaining about the military a lot more! -- John H "The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant: It's just that they know so much that isn't so."
