Where's my daily update today Krause?
It seems as if Bush bottomed out at 40% approval, and is now up 2 points to 42%. Why did you skip today's update? Because it shows an upward trend? "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... President Bush Job Approval Bush Job Approval Strongly Approve 21% Somewhat Approve 19% Somewhat Disapprove 15% Strongly Disapprove 44% RasmussenReports.com Friday October 28, 2005--For the third time in a week, President Bush's Job Approval Rating has fallen to a new low. Just 40% of American adults now approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. Overall, 59% of Americans Disapprove of the President's performance including 44% strongly disapprove. Less than half that number, 21%, Strongly Approve. Early in the year, the number who Strongly Approved roughly equaled the number who Strongly Disapproved. Before this past week, the President's Approval Rating has never dipped below 43% in a Rasmussen Reports poll. It fell to 42% for the first time last Friday, to 41% for the first time this past Wednesday, and to 40% for the first time today. Among Republicans, the President's Approval Rating has fallen to 71%, the lowest level ever recorded. For most of his time in office, the President's Approval Rating among Republicans has been in the high-80s. |

Among Republicans, the President's Approval Rating is now at 78%. That's an
improvement from the low of 71% reached on the day Harriet Miers withdrew from consideration as a Supreme Court nominee. Today's figures are the first based entirely upon interviews conducted following the withdrawal of Miers' nomination. Bush Job Approval Strongly Approve 22% Somewhat Approve 22% Somewhat Disapprove 15% Strongly Disapprove 41% Bush is up 7 points among Republicans, and 4 points overall since the Miers withdrawal. And this is just 2 days after one of his Administration officials was indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice. |

Overall, 56% of Americans Disapprove of the President's performance including 41% strongly disapprove. When Bush was at or near 50%, he had the approval of nearly 85% of Republicans. When Bush fell to 40% approval, he only had the approval of 71% of Republicans. All he has to do is focus on his base and ignore the left, and he'll soon be back to his pre-election numbers. Any drop that we've seen was because he was ignoring his base. But as I predicted, Bush's base would go running back to him the moment he regrew a spine and quit pandering to the left. |

So then that's a 3 point favorable bump since you posted the numbers on Friday, October 28th: 10/28: 44% strongly disapprove 10/30: 41% strongly disapprove Since the election, Bush has never been below 38% in the "strongly disapprove" category. Heck, he won the election by 3 million votes when his "strongly disapprove" number was 38%. |

Pandering to the left? Only from where you are sitting, Attila. ;-) NOYB, this country is run from the center, always has been. It's the nature of a democracy. The reason Bush is falling in the polls, isn't because he has forgotten his base, it's because everything he touches turns to ****. |

The Libby situation is meaningless to the base. |

Not surprising, though. We understand what is important. And that is getting a proven conservative on the SC bench. This will stop the Democrats in their tracks. With Stevens getting ready to retire next summer we will get a another conservative on the bench. Liberal judicial activism will halted and the people will have thier lives back in their hands. |
