I've got better things to do.

You can be sure things will be bad here for the next 5 months. After
that, it should brighten up. I'll want to hear about your adventures on
your Halman 20.

Don,
In the summer of 2000, everyone said it would get better after the election,
in the summer of 2004, some said it would get better after the election.
Now you say it will get better in 5 months.

As long as the most prolific poster, cut and pastes 10-20 headlines a day,
with the sole purpose of trolling for political fights, it will not get any
better, it will get worse.

Well...you could start things off by setting an example for others to
follow.

Don,
I don't start OT threads, and don't bring OT posts into on topic posts. In
the last few years we have seen many people leave, their absence has never
changed the tone of rec.boats. Let Harry take a week's vacation, and the
tone changes immediately. The problem today is even when Harry is on
vacation he posts to rec.boats 8 hrs. a day.

So you say Harry is solely responsible for the direction this newsgroup
follows. That's almost a backhanded compliment...that he has such a
hugh influence no one else can re-direct or re-energize the group.
Good thing Harry isn't pushing religion....y'all be praying at a new church.

Don,

We wouldn't be praying at a new church, we would be telling Harry he is full
of it. ; )

Anyone who wants to cut and paste news articles and then make personal
insults to anyone who disagrees with his politics, can have just as much
impact on rec.boats as Harry. Harry just spends more time making insults
and cut and pasting articles than anyone else in rec.boats.

You are a liberal, take strong stands on issues, but most people do not find
you offensive, even if they disagree with you. Harry goes out of his way to
be offensive, and he succeeds at being the most offensive poster in
rec.boats.

It is not Harry's politics that bring down, it is his personality.

Harry,

Why do you spend so much time cut and pasting articles so you can engage in
an name calling with conservatives. Your intent is not only obvious, but
you have stated your intent many times. It is not to discuss boating, but
to insult the conservatives. Heck, even Don and Chuck know that is the
reason you come here.

Do you still have that collection plate?

Smithers' intent is obvious, and has been for a long time.

Hold on...I've never asked Harry 'why he comes here'.......so I don't
belong in that statement.

Don,
But you are smart enough to understand why Harry comes here. If you can not
put it together from his posts, you can read his own comments that he comes
her to stir up the right wing trash.
