Do Gas Stations in New Jersey Have Fuel That Has Alcohol Additives?
I would like to know if gas stations in New Jersey have fuel that has
alcohol additives such as methanol and ethanol. I am under the impression that those alcohol additives are not good for various fittings in the fuel system. I have a 1995 SeaRay Laguna Center Console, and the owner manual stated that they don't recommend fuel that has alcohol additives. This means I had better only use fuel that don't have alcohol additives. The operator of one Mobile gas station said that they don't have any methanol in the fuel; but he didn't know if the fuel has any other alcohol additive. The operator of one Enrite gas station didn't know anything about alcohol additives one way or the other. Neither one shows any sign of the use of alcohol additive at the fuel pump. Does this mean "all clear" to me? Do I expect to see a sign saying "We proudly present our Earth-Save brand of gas that has XYZ alcohol additive in it to improve YOUR air quality" near the fuel pump? Anyone knows something about this? Thanks in advance for any info. Jay Chan |
