Default Graveyard of the Atlantic

Those on the east coast of the US always refer to Cape Hatteras as the
Graveyard of the Atlantic

Those in the Maritime Provinces of Canada always talk about Sable Island as
being the Graveyard of the Atlantic.

How many other "Graveyards of the Atlantic are there?

Don,
You know Sable Island is just a pretend Graveyard, don't you? ; )

The only real Graveyard of the Atlantic is Cape Hatteras.

Tom,
Canada does have a navy, in fact Don's sailboat is considered the flagship
of the Atlantic Fleet.

I see where your government is all upset about the American, British
and French submarines traveling the Northwest Passage without telling
them.

I suspect if Canada actually had a Navy, that wouldn't be much of a
problem. :)

Yup. Back a ways there was talk of buying 8 nuke subs to control that
area. Instead we bought four conventional used lemons from Britain.
Politicians should have to take an IQ test before being allowed to run
for office.

Truer words have never been spoken.

I am not concerned about the IQ, but they should be permanently wired to a
lie detector the entire time they are in office. :-)

Any measurable brain wave at all would be an improvement over most.

I suggested a brief "test" in 2000. Both major candidates would appear on
a news program and be handed a page chosen at random from any of the many
Dickens' novels. Each without practice would have to read the page aloud.

The results of the rest would be readily apparent.

Would just prove the person is a good public speaker.
