Anybody notice the smoke out of the engine in the turns? Yep. And black smoke to boot. Not good. |

I don't think there was anything subtle about his total disregard of the rules of the road.....all close quarter passes with no regard to the safety of the other boats or the possible catastrophic consequences of his maneuvers. |

I was wondering if someone using computer software to blend images together.
I can't imagine anyone cutting it as close as he did. " JimH" wrote in message ... "Bryan" wrote in message news ![]() " JimH" wrote in message ... Found this on another forum. Perhaps......regardless it is a good lesson to show others. I plan to show it to my son who will be also taking the USPS basic course this winter as his first step in being able to take our 20 foot runabout out with his friends. |

I don't know. It looks like a typical mid-summer Saturday afternoon outside of Scituate Harbor, MA. Eisboch |

You'll be run down by sailboters who care not a whit for the rules of the road or anything else. At the risk of ****ing off any resident blow boaters, I have to agree 100%. Why, when they have power, do they insist on sailing all the way down a crowded, busy, narrow harbor channel, tacking back and forth within 40-50 feet? Even at 5 knots, my Navigator won't stop on a dime to avoid them when they suddenly decide to tack to port from the other side of the channel. Eisboch |

![]() " JimH" wrote in message ... Full reverse? You'd be surprised how far forward a 20+ ton boat continues to move forward, even when the transmissions are in reverse with power on when trying to stop suddenly from any speed. Normally at 5 knots I usually plan my stops about 30 yards away, putting it in neutral and letting it set up for the prevailing wind and current. Eisboch |
