The ones that came with my iPod (minipods that stick in the edges of
the
ear canal) aren't bad soundwise, but there are more expensive little
pods out there. Incredibly expensive, in some case. Anyone purchased
any
reasonably price little earphones for their players that actually go
partially in the ear canal and are comfy?

Thanks.
rafter reading the concerns on damage to the ears, I would follow the
recommendations of the experts and not use the ear buds/buttons. I
would use a conventional headphone, with a noise canceling ear
enclosure
so you can listen at a lower volume and not have any other noise
distract from your music.

JohnH,
I purchased mine from "Guitar Center" because I wanted to hear them and
get the advice of their audio experts. I think I paid $129 vs. their
price of $99. If I knew what I was looking for I would buy from them
in a heartbeat. Since you are paying on a credit card, you are protected.

The price and review on those AKG is amazing, talk about a great
price/benefit ratio.

Well, I just ordered the AKG's so we'll see. They're currently out of
stock, until next week. I'll let you know how they work. For $45, they got
rave reviews!

Oprah!

She'll heal us.

Don't know about that, but she could damn sure write a check and solve the
budget deficit problem in the blink of an eye. Her annual gross is higher
than the GDP of small nations.

Harry,
My wife just got some Shure sound canceling E2C earbud headphones. I think
they cost about a hundred dollars at Best Buy. http://tinyurl.com/7bv55

She says if you position them in the ear canal just right the sound is
fantastic and they really fit good thanks to the different sizes of ear
covers.
I can personally attest to the noise canceling function as any time she has
them on I have to walk up and touch her to get her attention if she is
facing away from me (like when she is studying for her calculus class).

Let me know what you think of them once they arrive. I need some new
headphones for my MD player.
Yes I know its a little antiquated but, hey, it works pretty good once you
figure out Sony's Sonic Stage software.

I bought myself a pair of UltraEars SX70 buds and bought my wife a set of
Sennheiser PX100 headphones. She prefers headphones to earbuds. The new
buds are to my liking, and fit comfortably in my ear canals. I don't
listen at high sound press levels.

PC Mag rated these particular Sennheisers their best buy of 2005 for iPOD
type headphones. They haven't arrived yet.
