Default Photoshop CS3 is about to come out...

I use open source GIMP on Windows (they have a Linux version too). It's free
and light years ahead of photoshop.

I downloaded it, and its accompanying toolkit. I tried it. I didn't like
it. I dumped it. But thanks for the tip. I'm sure some will like it.


When I first got it, I felt the same way - now, with all the plugins for it,
I can do so much more with it than Photoshop. A very big advertising firm
that my firm works with turned me on to it. GIMP has much better memory
allocation system, so its easier to work with larger files, etc. Anyway, at
least you know about it - maybe one day it will fit the bill. They continue
to improve it daily - with nightly releases.
