Watch out Pittsburgh, The West Coast is Tough, Check our waves!
None of those prissy little Pennsylvania type waves up here in Seahawk
Land (where men are men, women are smiling, and sheep are nervous)........ The Steelers are going to think they got whalloped by one of our 38-foot waves. :-) Office of Public Affairs U.S. Coast Guard Thirteenth District Press Release Date: Feb. 2, 2006 Contact: PA2 Robin Rask 206-220-7237 COAST GUARD ENCOURAGES ALL MARINERS AND BEACHGOERS TO USE CAUTION ALONG OREGON AND WASHINGTON COASTS SEATTLE - The Coast Guard encourages all mariners and beachgoers along Oregon and Washington coasts to use extreme caution Friday evening through Saturday morning as the strongest cold front of the year moves through the coastal areas. Mariners and beachgoers are encouraged to use extreme caution before heading to the coast this weekend and to check the National Weather Service webpage for updated information at http://www.nws.noaa.gov/. ### The U.S. Coast Guard is a military, maritime, multi-mission service within the Department of Homeland Security dedicated to protecting the safety and security of America. Gawd how I hate the Steelers...........almost as much as I hate the Yankees. However, I just don't see the SeaHawks pulling this one out. I hope they prove me wrong. |

Even though we get the Boston version of ABC, CBS, NBC, and Rochester version of Fox on our cable programing, there is some kind of agreement that local commercials are inserted where the American commercials usually show. If I want to see the super commercials during the Stuper Bowl, I have to go to an internet site. |

I personally think the teams are pretty evenly matched and either could prevail. With two very good quarterbacks in the game, this isn't going to turn out to be one of those deadful 7-3 "ho-hummers"...............( a term which reminds me of a guy who went looking for the former so he could negotiate the latter)..........and with two good defenses I don't think a blowout is in the works, either. People who are dissing the Sea Hawks, IMO, have a case of East Coastitis and many might even think that there's nothing west of the Mississippi except sagebrush, sand fleas, trailer parks, and the random Indian reservation. My opinion could be wrong, as always. :-) Personally will be: 1) Pleased that the home town team won the NFC and made it to the World Championship game. 2) Extremely pleased if they win the game. 3) Hoping that we pound the Steelers just like those 38-foot waves are pounding our coast today. |

If I want to see the super commercials during the Stuper Bowl, I have to go to an internet site. I was on the phone yesterday with someone in Nova Scotia...at a Microsoft Tech Support call center. Gal said there were 1000 employers there. Yikes. Anyway, she said she has satellite and NEVER watches Canadian television. Uh-oh. Hate to hear that. Ratings for my former employer seem to be at an all time low. (probably because of the 8 week lockout of it's employees last summer) It's a strugle for 'Canadian content' to compete with American programing. |

I'll bet you some smoked salmon against "whatever you got" back east there. You favor the Steelers by 21, but to be a gentleman I'll settle for the Seahawks and 17. Are we on? :-) Just make sure the "whatever you got" is a wager worthy of my smoked salmon counterpart. It requires a lot of effort to smoke a salmon, but half the battle is getting one of the darn things lit. |

Are we on? :-) you are taking the seahawks AND giving me seventeen? hmmmmmm - ok. No, I'm betting that the Seahawks score, plus another 17 points, will be a greater number than the Steelers score. You think the margin will be 21 points, so I am offering you a four point "advantage" from your perspective. Just make sure the "whatever you got" is a wager worthy of my smoked salmon counterpart. I can't eat red shellfish, but clams, oysters, scallops, mussels, etc. are fine. |
