Default narrowed repower down to two choices

I've narrowed down my repower to two different motors:

Johnson 90 hp Sal****er Series 2 Stroke
Evinrude 75 hp E-tec

Boat: 16' McKee Craft, approx 1000 lbs dry

Price is the same with the 90 hp including an additional 3 yr warranty

The dealer seems to think the extra power of the 90 is the best way to
go. Sounds like the Johnson is a really good, old school two stroke
that will be really good on power since it is a V-4.

The technology of the E-tec is attractive to me but I don't want the
boat to be a dog. Don't need a speed demon either though.

What horsepower are you replacing?
And have you replaced it yet? With which? And how'd it work out?
