Default Finally got my boat out

It's been two years. Last year my father died--he was 82, he had a good
run, and it was his time, but it pretty much took up my summer.

Had a wonderful outing on the Upper Chesapeake today--put over at Elk Neck
State Park, ran down to the Sass and anchored for a while, then ran up to
the C&D canal, only to find Shaeffer's Canal House had closed
(http://www.out-and-about.com/article.php?articleID=616) and there was no
room to dock at the other restaurants--at least no room I considered safe.

Ran back to Elk Neck State Park with a true boater's suntan--er, burn--for
the first time in two years.

I'm making plans to attend Betterton Days.
(http://www.kentcounty.com/events/betterton/). By water, of course.

For old timers, I used to post as , but I left AOL and
Windows a long time ago.

But old
http://members.aol.com/frankwbell/Boat website is still around,
but it's now http://frankwbell.no-ip.info/Boat

I look forward to catching up with rec.boats.politics.flamewars.

Welcome back! I also boat on the bay, out of Deale, as does at least one
other member of the group.

You'll find the group has changed a lot. Politics is seldom brought up, and
only by a few diehards who don't want to behave properly in a boating
group. Hopefully, you'll find the change refreshing.

How was the upper bay as far as debris floating in the water. I was out
last weekend (or maybe the one before), and the CG had issued an advisory
about the stuff.

That would be refreshing. I kept wearing out the delete key.

Lots of floating seaweed, probably ripped loose by the squall on Saturday,
but very little debris. I saw two smallish branches no more than a
couple-three feet long and that was about it.
