Do not know as much about the San Juans and Washington, but Alaska, they
like Aluminum boats, as they are easier to repair after striking unknown
rocks and if landing at a beach.

When I was in Alaska, I know I saw a ton of aluminum boats. I was kind
of surprised that they made aluminum boats as large as they do.
