Yo Harry
I'm too lazy to go back and try to retrieve your Breezy Point pictures, but
they were great. You're right, the water is definitely high. I forwarded the URL's to a friend who keeps his boat about five boats north of the ramp, on the same side. Haven't heard back yet, but I'm sure he'll be interested. Thanks for posting them. -- ****************************************** ***** Hope your day is great! ***** ****************************************** John |

All the slips on the ramp side have water over the bulkheads. I'm trying to decide whether to yank out Yo Ho. Is Yo Ho in the water? Given the winds, I might check the lines, but I don't think I'd try to move her in the water. -- ****************************************** ***** Hope your day is great! ***** ****************************************** John |

On the trailer, but 40' away from the bulkheads. If the water looked like it would rise over the hubs, I might move it just to keep the sand and crap out. To do any real harm the water would have to get up another four to six feet, no? Are the folks at Breezy manning the store today? Could they give you a shout if the water looked like it might get up to cause damage to the trailer? -- ****************************************** ***** Hope your day is great! ***** ****************************************** John |

It's *really* pouring now, and the wind has kicked up. The bulkheads on the "fancy" side are beginning to overflow, but it is no worse on the ramp side than it was four hours ago. Yo Ho is still completely on the dry. Good luck to you guys. |

Yo Ho is still completely on the dry. Glad to hear it. It looks like the worst is over here, although there are still some pretty strong gusts bending the oaks. We lost our electricity for about three seconds. Somehow this electric company, Dominion Virginia, manages to keep our power going even though there are some 200,000 folks in VA without power. Maybe I'll send a bonus in my next payment! |
