My boat top (the vinyl type canvas) is shot - lots of pinholes, zipper tearing
away, and shrunk up so I can't snap it all back. I had a recommendation from a friend to call one guy -- and his price is very reasonable but he uses sunbrella -- anyone have any thoughts on using sunbrella as a boat top? Thanks -josh --- AntiSpam/harvest --- Remove X's to send email to me. |

Wouldn't have it any other way.
Best deal I found when I did my bimini: http://www.canvasdealer.com/ JR Josh Assing wrote: My boat top (the vinyl type canvas) is shot - lots of pinholes, zipper tearing away, and shrunk up so I can't snap it all back. I assume this doesn't include sun deterioration -- still 800 -- that seems good. I may have him make me a full cover so I can have it fully covered while underway. Outstanding -- I've never had a sunbrella top before -- but glad to hear it's good... The rain dribbling down is getting old. Thanks -josh --- AntiSpam/harvest --- Remove X's to send email to me. |

![]() Sunbrella is the de-facto standard for boat canvas. Nothing strange there. -W "Josh Assing" wrote in message ... All Sunbrella(tm) is, is a "good" canvas impregnated with a "good" water
repellant, and a "good" UV repellant. So?? it works... -W "Josh Assing" wrote in message ... Sunbrella is the de-facto standard for boat canvas. In the south, about 20 years ago. The plastic covered stuff would
peal off in the sun and would crack in the cold. For sunbrella, I spray mine with waterproofing about once a year and I can usually get 10 yrs + our of a top in the SFlorida sun.
