Not really.




Well, U.S. forces may not carry "official issue" white flags in their
rucksacks, but U.S. forces certainly have surrendered. As just one
example, consider the outcome of theBattle of the Philippines in 1941-42.

I am sure there are other examples with specific battles. But that has
nothing to do with my original point.
