Trailer Brakes
I need to replace the entire brake system on my trailer. It's a tandem axle
that currently has 10" drums. GVW for the boat, motor and trailer will be around 5500-6500 lbs. What are your thoughts on disc vs. drum and do you have any brand preferences? Last question, where to buy? Thanks, Steve P. |

This is as good as any place, and better than most. They know everything about how best to do your project. Give them a call. http://www.championtrailers.com/ |

The conversion from drum to disc isn't hard, but it does take time. As to effectiveness, I can only relate my own personal experiences with both and for my money, drum brakes are better than disc. I've had nothing but problems with my disc brakes, but I had a twenty year old trailer with drum brakes and never had a problem with them. As you have drum brakes now, stick with 'em and just replace what you have. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. |

Champion Trailer is the best source of trailer parts, hands down. "Steve P" wrote in message ... I need to replace the entire brake system on my trailer.
