I HAVE A INBOARD GAS TANK. THERE IS A RED AND BLACK WIRE COMING OUT
THE FLOAT . I HAVE A GAUGE IN THE DASHBOARD WITH NO WIRES ON IT. DOES THE RED/BLACK WIRE FROM THE TANK GO TO THE GROUND/POSITIVE TO THE GAUGE. THEN A POSITIVE WIRE GO FROM THE FUSE BOX TO THE OTHER POSITIVE TERMINAL ON THE FUEL GAUGE ? FUEL GAUGE HAS A GROUND AND TWO POSITIVE TERMINALS. |

Typically the black wire on the sending unit goes to ground. The other wire
from the sending unit goes to the gauge. The gauge is hooked up to positive. The back of the gauge should have something on it to indicate which terminal is the sending unit and which hooks to positive. In the end the sending unit and the guage are wired in series across the 12 volt supply. "sonofadocker" wrote in message ups.com... I HAVE A INBOARD GAS TANK.
