In observance of long standing traditions in the newsgroup. I
absolutely cannot let your remark go unchallenged.

Aphelion, my arse. As usual, Shortwave, you're supporting the wrong
partay. Everybody knows, (or should) that the perehelion party is far
superior and much more patriotic than the aphelion party could ever
be.
It should be ovious to everybody that the aphelion party is merely
riding on the coat-tails of patriotic fervor stirred up by the Fourth
of July holiday. The Perehelions, on the other hand, have such a
strong platform that they absolutely dominate all events in the
otherwise rather dull month of January. Even after the December
holiday season and the
last hurrahs of New Year's Eve, the perehlion party gets virtually
every man, woman, and child on the planet to participate in it's
annual convention. Talk about universal effectiveness and popular
clout!

If ever there was a weak movement it would have to be
Aphelionism....heck, if it were up to the Aphelions alone even the
tides would be a slackers.

Vote Perehelion. Early and often.

Typical Perehelion - take a nice post about a good time and turn it
into a political troll.

Yup, went out to play with the new bait caster (cheapie abu Garcia).
Got another great pan fish! I don't like this bait caster. Maybe the
pole is too stiff but I keep casting 'bout straight down into the
water and I don't think it is legal to knock the fish out, er, unless
you are a certain percentage Indian Maybe I will try a lighter
southbend pole with this reel, but the guy said I should run 12 pound
test on the thing! I guess I should go after tuna!

Just got back, beautiful morning on the water, light wind, some
clouds. Starting to have a little problem with the engine at low idle.
Just sputters to a stop, then does not want to start again. Also, hard
to start when hot. I might bring a screw driver next time I go out,
maybe I can borrow one from those Cod's up at Webster

Got hot around 11, decided to come and see if the kids want to go back
out! Might go out again later, or in the morning, or both
