Some. I found some breaking fish about two miles south of the marina,
and tossed a tiny Clark's spoon at them. Turned out to be what we
Yankees called "snapper blues." Small bluefish. Nice fighters on my my
little five foot rod and 8# test line (with a 6" light wire leader).
Did catch a nice keeper blue which will be the guest of honor at
dinner tonight.

Also caught a skate. I really don't enjoy catching them though they
tug like crazy. They are large and a pain in the ass to release properly.

Had to keep the tabs down while running. You can see their impact
on the boat wake...on the starboard and port side. That bag in the
lower corner...squid...a reliable fish snack food around here.

On a boat that size there should be no need to keep the tabs down while
running. Something is wrong with your set up.

Looks like it is a very smooth day on the water.

Makes perfect sense...

But not true. There are more than a handful of "Republicans" or folks I
suspect are Republicans here. to whom I have never applied or implied
the "asshole" descriptor. SW Tom and Eisboch, I believe, are
Republican-leaning. I've never referred to them as assholes or implied
they were.

Herring, obviously, thinks everyone on his side of the political fence
is an asshole. He probably shaves in front of one of those prism mirrors.

It's good Herring shot his wad in the Army. Had he held a real-world job
in which intelligence and critical thinking were required, he'd never
would have risen higher than meter maid.

Such an honor...etc. You are just a neat guy, Harry!

How does your mom like the new seniors' facility she's in? Did she have to

Fine so far...
yes.....

Perhaps you can arrange a visit to your mom by Herring. Who knows, she
might get a giggle out of an American idiot like our boy John.

Harry, you're just so cool!

No great loss on the Starbucks.

hey John, did you get a trade on your boat?

Yeah, they gave me $8800 for it. I didn't feel too badly.

What year was it?

1997.

Hmmm - not bad.

How many hours on the engine?

Close to 600.

Now, isn't that better than your normal derogatory crap? Sorry she had to
wait so long. That's what the 20-20 program was all about.

Naw... he'd give decent, normal Americans a bad name.

Why do you find it necessary to be derogatory? Is it that much more
enjoyable than discussing your boat or your mom? Do you do it because it
will build your friendship with Harry?

No, actually. Those 'waves' are all of three feet. Harry said so earlier.
