Give you a call tonight - got a question about designing a boat. Gonna
be around? Thinking Tuesday or Wednesday - interested? Run around the Bay again or you want to fish Hackett's? We could go to Niantic and fish the out flow from the power plant. |

You should carefully consider the global consequences of hauling fish out of the discharge from your power plant. It must have occured to you that the water from the power plant is probably a couple of degrees warmer, at least, than the water in the rest of the bay. Those fish serve a valuable ecologicial function- they absorb some of those exhausted btu's, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of your power plant. Just think of those poor polar bears, swimming miles and miles between scrawny little icebergs and searching in vain for food. High price to pay for a fish dinner. :-) |

Wednesday looks good for fishing, of course, most days look good, might go out tonight. BTW, I grabbed a helm from the other house yesterday, gonna' finally take a shot at that Gayle. At 500-600 pounds, engine, equipment, me, and 6 1/2 foot beam from the center back (10degree rake on sides) how fast do you think that thing will go, Anyone with experience with flat bottom skiffs feel free to chime in here, Here is the boat that is going to get the engine, Low transom and all, anyone got a guess?? Harry, ever put an engine like that on a brockway type skiff?? http://www.yaimkool.com |

I will send you the design program I use, with a couple of examples to start with. |
