That is a good 1st step for the Tribe this year. After all............you lost your skipper and will most likely lose several key players.........thanks to the Tribe. Remind me again where you call home Wayne. I guess this is where we both get a chance to become gracious losers. |

When the Sox won in 2004, the opening day ceremonies at Fenway included the Yankees and they were all in their dugout watching and applauding. And give old George credit - when the Sox won the ACLS, they kept the lights on in Yankees Stadium so the celebrations could continue. And of course, one of the more memorable moments in baseball, came during the introduction of the players - Rivera got a standing O for giving up the winning run. I'll never forget it - he tipped his cap to the crowd with a big grin on his face and the place went nuts in appreciation. Baseball - gotta love it. |

I figured something like that. Torre was the perfect manager for New York. I'd bet money he'll be back there. |

The river did catch fire you know, it's not like I made it up. Nor did I invent the unfortunate expression "rust belt". Like my own home town in upstate NY, I'm sure Cleveland is a good place to be from. As W.C. Fields once said about Philadelhia: "First prize, one week; second prize, two weeks". http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071022/...attractive1_dc Eisboch |
