Sure, I'll take a cruise on a big ship with hundreds of other people and their rug rats that I don't know on your recommendation. Like hell I will. :) You are old, everyone has to die sometime. You first. :) |

As an aging baby boomer I cannot imagine wanting to take a cruise aboard a ship filled with snot nosed screaming spoiled brats........grandkids or not. I shudder every time we go out for dinner to find us next to a cheap skate family who decided to bring their screaming preschooler with them rather than hire a baby sitter. Having to endure an entire cruise with that *atmosphere* is not my cup of tea. That is the reason why they offer so many different kind of cruises. They are all death traps. |

Are you the same lying Harry Krause that made a $100 bet with me on the election? I won the bet and you disavowed it, although you stated clearly in this newsgroup you agreed. The bet was not for my gain. I asked you to send it to the Make a Wish Foundation. We all made the same wish, Wally: that you would drop dead. Apparently we didn't wish hard enough. Harry, that was not called for. I have no memory of Wally's bet. My guess is that whenever he made it, he was residing in my bozo bin. In any event, maybe it's good he is back. He did retire the cup as the dumbest poster here, and it hasn't been easy to replace him. |

There's that "we" again. Speak for yourself, Krause. |

The Disney folks really take care of their passengers with great food, great shows, and a beautiful ship. I highly recommend it! Toured the Queen Mary in Long Beach last week. Was a cruise ship docked near it. Unbelievable how much bigger the cruise ships are than the QM. Way to many people to deal with. |

Nope, not a death trap for most. Boredom trap for a lot of us. |

I have never been on a cruise, but it sounds like a great trip with the grandkids. All my life I've thought they were a great waste of money, and they are. Now I've gone twice in two years, and am planning to go again in two years! I was thinking, while on this cruise, that cruise ships would be a great target for the GW fanatics. Those things use a lot of resources, and provide nothing, other than fun, for mankind. So, you ought to take advantage of them before they get on someone's hit list. Hmmm. Some of the same things can be said about certain young women. |

It was funny to watch the people on a Carnival cruise ship docked next to us at Cozumel. (Did I get the spelling correct, Harry?) When the Disney Magic docked, dozens of people on the Carnival ship got their cameras to take pictures of the Disney Magic. I saw not one person on the Disney Magic take a picture of the Carnival ship. My wife and I went to that part of Mexico for our honeymoon. We landed in Cancun, spent a day there, and then took the ferry ride to Cozumel, where we stayed for two days. Rented scooters. Last season, some tourists were killed in Cozumel. Hoodlums chased them down, got them off their scooters, robbed them and then killed them. Scary. Anyway, after Cozumel, we went to Tulum, and then to Chichen Itza. Great trip. We spent another day in Cancun upon our return. I wouldn't recommend Cancun to anyone these days. |

I actually asked my wife if she would like to take a cruise to Alaska. She liked the idea originally, then decided she would prefer to take more shorter vacations than a 2 week cruise. |
