Default It's snowing

Just noticed it's occasionally snowing out there. Cold rain, then a short
blast of the white junk.
Hard to believe .... or accept.

I didn't diss your Lowrey. I just don't want the Champaign Music Hour
sound.

Actually, I think they used a Thomas on the Lawrence Welk Show.

It was part of my parent's attempt at forced culture expansion. He was a
big band freak and, although the LW Orchrestra wasn't exactly Tommy Dorsey,
we still watched it weekly.

Taped replays are occasionally still shown on the PBS network. I'll admit
that when I happen across one I watch it for a while, waiting for the Lennon
sisters.

Don't remind me. I stayed with my grandparents at the lake every
summer and endured that weekly too.
There were a couple solo singers I might have enjoyed, but it mainly
got me thinking about fishing the next morning.
And gramps never missed a Cubs game, or the Monday Night Fights,
Wednesday Night Fights, Friday Night Fights, and whatever other night
fights.
I was trained to handle a Gillette ten years before I started shaving,
and that Hamms was the beer refreshing.

When I was growing up, it was the only TV station we could receive out
in the country. :)

Actually, my experience was similar to yours. My Dad was a huge big
band freak and usually spent the time watching LW saying Dorsey,
Herman or Miller were better. :)

Remember the old guy with the bass singing voice? I used to get a big kick
out of his facial expressions.
