It ain't over until it's over, but the defense showed some signs of
life this afternoon even though Pittsburgh had the big mo.

The Steelers were doomed. I saw a pre-game interview with Brady in which he
was asked what he thought of Smith's "guaranty". He gave the standard,
reserved response but you could see the fire in his eyes.

Smith's mouth was exactly what the Patriots needed to stay focused.
