Default question bout an evinrude

i recently inherited a evinrude 25 from my grandfather who passed..
im trying to obtain a picture of what the intact motor is suppose to
look like.. the one i have all seems to be there except it looks to be
missing an air filter compartment.. im not sure if there is suppose to
be one or if it was just misplaced.. on any note i dont know for sure
what it looks like and that makes it hard to find.. there is
definately something missing from the throttle body, it looks like
three bolt holes.. I would appreciate any help on this matter and any
pictures of this, or similar motors would be helpful.. i believe it
is a newer motor possibly no older than a 2000.. thanx again for any
help ..

This is an movie of a 1990 Johnson which would be identical to what
you are looking for. There is no "air cleaner/filter".

Isn't that an air filter/flame arrestor on top of the carb?- Hide quoted text -

No. Larger displacement engines had air silencers, but no filter or
flame arrestor.
