Most of my boating would be on weekdays. That's the great thing about retirement. -- John *H*- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Yea, the difference betyween weekdays and weekends is amazing on most lakes. Sometimes I'll take a Friday or Monday off during the summer and go then to avoid the crowds. |

Folks overloaded with cheap debt, have to choose between the boat and the house. There will be a lot of marina sitting this year I bet... Will be hard for a lot of people. I towed the boat to Sacramento yesterday, and used a little more than a 1/2 tank of diesel == about $50 @$4.99 gallon and since I was not going very far up the river and did not need a lot of extra weight I only put in 42 gallons of gas at $4.029 $174 at Safeway stores gas station. Could have saved 3 cents by going to Costco, but probably cost that much to tow the extra distance. If people are trying to keep the kids in clothes and food, they are not going to be able to afford too many trips to the lake. |
