Looks like we're under siege here in S. IL. Edwardsville (just outside
of St. Louis) got about 3-1/2 in of rain in about an hr. We've had funnels hovering overhead a few times today,a nd loads of intense rain andgray/green skys , but no hail... yet. Looks like it's headed northeast towards Indianapolis and over to Ohio great lakes. Lights have been hit and miss here for the last hr. Man I'm glad I'm not out in the middle of Carlyle Lake right now. "UGH" |

But asccording to the weatehr maps there may be another large load coming though in the middle of the night. We dont' live very far from our towns fire house and they have one heck of a siren and arn't afraid to use it. They've already blasted it a couple times this evening. I find "The Weather Channel" to be sort of a waste of time. I seems like when a weather update is badly needed for the midwest area, for some reason they're talking about some monsoon off the coast of Vietnam or something....... |

Nothing like a Mid-Western storm front - weather old skool. :) Glad you are ok and everyone is in one piece. Man I'm glad I'm not out in the middle of Carlyle Lake right now. "UGH" Pansy. :) |

I harpooned my small Chris into about a 4 foot wall of water and thought it was going to submarine on us. but fortunately the bow popped right back up but only threw about 500 gal. (seemingly) of water over the wind shield soaking everything. it was exilerating, but I dont' want to do it again. |

Do you have any idea how large the wakes are when a few 1000 50' boats are "plowing" (almost, but not quiet on plane) through the water? |

Be safe, man. How's the wife doing? Thanks for asking. Well, she's feeling "OK" and gets her third "DOSE" of chemo this monday which is a drag. The dr.s were amazed at how the swelling in her lyphnodes wwere decreasing, however she thinks they're starting to swell again. so I'm not sure how to answer that question. We're being cautionistically optomistic at this moment, because you don't know and probably won't know for a while. But she's in good spirits and thats a plus! |
