Main reason for this post is to see if this picture can be viewed by
people who are not registered on the target web site. I think it will
work, but won't know for sure unless I try.

This is my son's boat on the weed choked St Johns River (at Blue
Springs) in Central Florida. Actually, the weeds aren't that bad this
year, but there is a lot of idle/no wake zones because of the manatees.
I guess that's OK though because all the alligators & manatees make
for a bumpy ride if you get going very fast.

Is that the Silver River near Silver Springs, Florida?

Almost. The Silver Springs Run is a tributary of the St Johns. Upstream
a bit from Blue Springs.

Well, I guess both places look alike. I used to take the northern living
grandkids to Blue Springs when they visited in the winter to see the
manatees that congregate there for the 70* water.

Speeds over five or so are forbidden along large stretches of the ICW
in Florida, so that boats wouldn't hit them. There aren't nearly as
many killed, or collecting prop scars, in recent years.
