There was a boating "accident" this evening. *2 dead, 2 missing and 6 made
it to shore in the river near Tracy, CA. *10 people in a 14' aluminum
skiff. No life jackets, alcohol may be involved. *Sad. *They were all from
Guatemala, and lived in Oakland. *Some were relatives. *The paper referred
to the driver as the "Capt." Clueless. *The driver is in jail on
manslaughter charges and $400k bail. *Hard to put the blame on him in my
estimation. *They were all adults and should have some responsibility for
their own wellbeing.

What kind of stupid talk is that?
I bet a number of those people were never out in a small aluminum boat
before. *Do you expect them to know the load ratings for that boat?
It's the owner, or captain, who is responsible for the welfare of his crew
and guests.
You gotta quit sippin' before noon.

Even as a kid I knew that even 5 people in a 14 foot boat was too
many.

Reggie is on my DNR list elsewhere. If you did the same, it would be
worthwhile. Same with Florida Jim, DK, Herring, and the other trollbots.

You are the one who should refrain from drinking the stupid juice. They
were fishing, so they have seen water and boats. Think about how crowded a
14' by 5' box would be with 10 people. And anyone of them could have looked
at the water about 1" below the gunnels. Unless they had a combined IQ of
200, there is no way they were not part of the accident! Calling the guy a
captain is stretching the language too far. And maybe he was not the owner,
borrowed or rented boat.

Dumbass Donnie is another to add to the list. He's a pathetic soul with
a live-in adult son who controls his life. He's only here to feel
important by berating others to offset his own deficiencies.
