I would assume that includes any remark that is sure to lead to nowhere other than a defensive comeback. Let me suggest this litmus test: before you touch the keyboard, ask yourself this, "Am I defending __________ ?" If so, push the keyboard back, go get a cold one, and take some quality time to think of something to post that is non defensive and boating related. I'm betting that if you don't, you'll perpetually remain booted...... And I, for one, think he is 100% right. I do, too, and I told him so. Further, there are no members of the Seven Dwarfs here to whom I will respond at Chuck's Place. So...if you a member of the Schitty Seven here (Herring, "Reggie," "Florida Jim," "BAR," Loogy, JustWait, and whoever the floating idiot of the day in that group is, don't expect me to climb into your litter box there for any reason. |

What rule was broken by | hidden? | | It really is easy to understand why Hidden was put in time out. | Everyone knows Harry does not own a Lobster Boat, so when Hidden | mentioned the topic, it was making fun of Harry's obsession with | fabricating a fictional persona for UseNet. | | Chuck wanted to nip it in the bud, so he put Hidden in time out. *I | would assume if Harry mentioned his "Lobster Boat", Harry would be put | in time out also. | | If what you say is true, then Chuck must believe that Harry's Lobsta boat | is a fabrication. Why would someone be binned for asking someone a |question about fuel burn rates on a boat that that person has stated |several hundred times over the years that he owns? Because someone knew, before they asked, that there would be no helpful answer. There never HAS been a helpful answer to that question and one would reasonably conclude then, as did Chuck, that the asking of the question was clearly inflammatory in nature. How far do you suppose somebody will push the "I'm not touching you" routine before they finally conclude there isn't any payoff (at Chucks)? This ProBoards stuff looks pretty easy and it is free: http://www.proboards.com/ Fashion it YOUR way, talk about who and what you want to and, as moderator, you can boot anybody you care to, for any reason whatsoever...... You can have it YOUR way...... Damn, now ain't that an idea. ;-) |
