Too early to tell for sure, but ShortWave's prediction may be coming
true.
He had the month right too ..... July.
Hope the trend holds up. Good for everybody.

Who do we thank, the Democrats? 8) I'm sure some here, well one
anyway,
will say that's the case.
I wouldn't start the party just yet, though.
Conserving gas by Americans along with Bush's lifting of the off shore
drilling ban did the trick,
The Democrats have done nothing.
I am sure I am not telling you anything new,
Someone will probably give credit for fine work to Nancy Pelosi

WAFA's going to scold Warp17 in private email for that one...- Hide quoted

Is this poster the " floating Idiot" today?...

-----------------------------------------------------------------

More like the 'sinking' idiot.

What's even funnier is the attempt to credit President Idiot with the
bitty decline in oil prices. The decline is due to diminished demand.

Nope.

A 2 percent decline in demand over several months doesn't equate to a 15-16
percent price drop in three days.

Surely you are not claiming the volatility in oil prices at the levels
they are these days is due to anything other than the day to day
vagaries of the marketplace and those who manipulate the market.

Gasoline was about a buck and a quarter when Bush took office. It's
about four bucks now. There's a price to be paid for Bush neglect of
matters of important, and four bucks a gallon is one of the prices we
are paying.

Remember poor, maligned Jimmy Carter? About 30 years ago, he urged us to
cap the amount of oil we were importing, and to force automakers to take
the steps necessary to manufacturer 48 mpg cars, and to develop
alternative sources of energy.

Had we followed that advice then, we'd be in far better shape today. But
in the last eight years, especially, we've had President Neglectful and
his sidekick, Vice President Halliburton, screwing the country and its
citizens.

No more.

Carter, Ford and Nixon were the last American presidents who thought
"America." Every one since has thought "business" even when that
weakened our underpinnings.
America will continue to go downhill until it gets back to work,
actually producing the goods it consumes.
That's going to be a big change for its citizens, because they've
become accustomed to cheap foreign goods and voodoo economics
ignoring balance of trade and national debt.
It's been a good hedonistic ride, but the legs are going to fall off
the horse.
'Course I was saying that 25 years ago. Surprising to still be in the
saddle. Yipeeee!
The only guys of prominence agreeing with me are Pat Buchanan and
Lou Dobbs.
I'm a lonely feller.

I remember. His plan to be "energy independent" by the year 2000 was
laughed at. You think we would be in Iraq right now, if we had followed
his plan? Also interesting to note, McCain is proposing an energy
independent plan by the year 2025. Sometimes Republicans seem a little
slow to me. ;-)

Another example of one of the trouble makers here trying to improve
the tone and quality of this NG.

Warp17 defaults to repetition when he has nothing else to say. If he's
learned anything from WAFA, it's never to ignore a post from the
"enemies" of the three stooges as sad and pathetic as that is.
