I might find a couple of OLD logs that are good for Lumber recycling or maybe I can trade 'em off for gas money ;-) BTW, I found two local places that sell MARKED gas w/o the highway tax (-45 cents Gal) for $ 4.91 Gal. One is 87 Octane and the other (farther away) is 92 Octane. THE local marina is charging ( $ 1.79 liter, CANADA. eh) = $ 6.76 Gal. for the Hi Test gas !! Leaving for Iowa on Wed. to P/U the boat. Those logs have been soaking in lake water since the mid 1930's. I doubt you can pick them out of the water in one piece anymore. They may be in good shape. Depends on the water and temperature. Big business is recovering old trees that sunk to the bottom in the St. Laurence Seaway. Some fine timber for furniture, etc. http://www.hometownsource.com/capito.../1223logs.html |

It's hard to find that these days. |
