Woulnd't be a trip report without mentioning that drivers in Virginia suck. :) You're going the wrong way. You want to pick up 301 just north of Richmond, and take it up through that part of Virginia, over the Potomac River, and into Southern Maryland. It's much less congested, and even if the speed limits are lower, for most of the trip, it's pretty, scenic country passing through some lovely farmland. |
