On Tab: Posting Messages

Select: "Use only servers known to carry the newsgroup."

However, I still suspect a setting on my end....




Is that a special "agent" setting?

Some were yours. Different posts though. They just said the same old
thing.

Just an observation ....

I think I see basically every post on your server that I see on the Giganews
server I have used for years.

Initially, when I first got the password and logged on, I thought the filter
algorithims were working well. But, as time passed, I realized it was just
a time difference between when a particular post would show up on Giganews
versus your server.

I've been comparing the two. I haven't kept detailed records, but it seems
to me that everything, including trash posts, that show up on Giganews also
shows up on your server.

Is that possible?

I take all the above back. I just spent some time carefully comparing the
recent posts on the Giganews server to the ones on your (Gene's) super
filter server.

Indeed, some of the more ridiculous posts and posters are conspicuously
absent on Gene's server. Replies show up, but not the original post.

I'm sure gene will have to spend some time tweaking his server...don't
you think so, too?
