Default Fay on the way

Looks like Fay has emerged into Apalachee bay. The bay is very warm
so if she sits here she could get stronger but she will prob hit land
near Ocklocknee Bay. Outside my window I see what is prob 25 kt
winds. Steady slow rain but no thunder.

Jacksonville is getting pounded by the back side of Fay. The 11:00 AM
eastern time report has the center of the storm near Cedar Key, on the Gulf
coast west of Gainesville. About 76,000 people are without power in Duval
County (JAX). Luckily, we are high and dry, nine miles east of downtown JAX,
three miles west of the Atlantic. Electric power has flickered a few times,
and we're still living in the light.

Last time I looked at the radar, it was over north central Florida,
somewhere in Baker County.

So what? The last time I looked it was off of Daytona, does that mean
it's still there?

Radar has it looking as if the center is just west of Cedar Key

Hell we are still getting the feeder bands in SW Florida. This is the
storm that won't die. The good news is it is really only rain. I am
guessing lake O is doing better ... sorry all you Lanier guys.

Lake O is up over a foot this week:

Two weeks ago it was struggling to make 5 ft in the main channel.
Hopefully they will remove the lock restrictions soon.

Really blowing here right now, I'd say 30 kts outside my office
window. Light rain. Radar looks as if center is over St Marks.
