My wife keeps telling me she really is off-put by the length of U.S.
nominating and presidential campaigns. I'm beginning to agree with her on
that. I like the "snap" elections and some of the other aspects of a
parliamentary government with the prime minister chosen by and serving at
the pleasure of his or her party from among popularly elected
representatives.

On the other hand, I'm really enjoying watching Sarah Palin perform for
us.
